As a fitness and fashion blogger, it’s always important that my campaigns are beautiful and evoke a certain feeling with my readers. To this end, I always try to have beautiful photographs on my website. Even when writing blog posts, I don’t use stock photographs, I upload my own stunning photos and images. When thinking about a magazine for my readers, I knew it would have to be amazing to be suitable for my audience. They deserved the best, and I found that with Yumpu Publishing.

An HTML flipbook is a document that acts like a real book or magazine online. The pages flip from one spread to the next as if you’re reading a real magazine. This is exactly what I wanted for my readers, so they could read articles and see full, glossy pictures as if they were holding my magazine in their hands.
While I knew this was exactly what I wanted, I didn’t know how hard it would be to find an HTML flipbook that I could manipulate to create a stunning magazine all my own. I didn’t want a simple online flipbook without personality. My magazine had to be larger-than-life, beautiful, and influential to my readers. The HTML flipbook would have to be embedded in my website. It had to have the flexibility of being added to my social media accounts too.
The Search for an HTML Flipbook
Knowing what I wanted was only half the battle. Finding exactly what I wanted in an HTML flipbook was harder than I’d expected. I knew that the generator had to convert my PDF into a magazine. It should be simple to use since I’m not a graphic designer with years of experience under my belt. I wanted it to be free with the option to upgrade later. The generator would have to be powerful and allow me to make professional-looking flipbooks.
I’d almost given up hope of finding the right flipbook generator. They were either too expensive without a trial option or didn’t have the features that I needed for a magazine I would be publishing on my website. The basic features in the free version include the ability to embed the magazine on a social media account. I wanted mine to be uploaded to Facebook, and that was easily done. This is where most of my audience spends its time, so that’s why it had to be compatible with this platform.

When it comes to magazines, I wanted my readers to be able to go to any platform to absorb my information. When they went to Facebook, they should be able to open the magazine on any device of their choosing. The magazine should adjust for their screen width. That was definitely the case with the ones I created using Yumpu Publishing.
SEO for Traffic
I’ve gotten many visitors due to the SEO, which is search engine optimization, of my magazines. When converting from a PDF to a magazine, the dashboard allows me to see my current keywords and make additions based on the words my potential audience is searching for online. At one point in the near future, I’ll add a paid version to see all the analytics for my magazine on its own. For now, I know that lots of my traffic are coming from the publication on Facebook.
No Software to Download
I wasn’t interested in downloading any software to my computer. To me, this seemed an unnecessary and added step that meant extra menus and learning how to navigate the software on my own. The flipbook I created was done online without me having to download any software onto my computer. This meant I could access my account from any computer too.
No Coding to Learn
I’m a fitness and fashion blogger, not a graphic designer or coder. While I’ve learned a lot about blogging and creating beautiful designs for my readers, I wasn’t interested in learning any code for this project. When I was having a hard time, in the beginning, I considered hiring a professional to do the job for me. Thankfully, that wasn’t necessary since I’d found the right flipbook generator that worked for my needs.
My fitness and fashion magazine has a huge following now. I’m considering an upgrade to an HTML flipbook version that will allow me to sell my subscriptions. That was another attractive part of this generator. I could upgrade to gain more professional features that would allow me to make money with my magazine.
